Major Police Reshuffle in Jammu and Kashmir: 82 Officers Transferred

A major reshuffle in the Jammu and Kashmir police department has been announced, affecting 82 officers, including 34 IPS officers, in an immediate move. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, in an order issued by Principal Secretary Chandraker Bharti, initiated these changes to bolster administrative efficiency.

Key appointments include Tejinder Singh as the new IGP, CID, and Sarah Rizvi as IGP, Crime. Additionally, DIGs and several SSPs, SPs, and DSPs have been reassigned to different postings. The reshuffle sees DIG appointments like Haseeb-ur-Rehman for Traffic, Kashmir, and Vinod Kumar for north Kashmir, among others.

The significant restructuring aims at enhancing the operational capacity of the police force in Jammu and Kashmir. This comprehensive measure includes specific postings at the SSP level, impacting key districts and police units throughout the region.
