Shocking Assault: Woman Injured in Domestic Dispute

A woman was seriously injured in a shocking domestic violence incident in Birhat village, where her husband allegedly bit off parts of her nose and cheek. The police reported the incident on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Pana, was moved from a community health center in Rath to a medical college in Jhansi due to the gravity of her injuries. According to her brother, Amaruddin, Pana frequently quarreled with her husband, Phool Khan. The situation escalated on Wednesday night, resulting in this brutal attack.

Doctors treated Pana with approximately 10 stitches on her cheek and suggested plastic surgery for her nose. A case has been filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against Khan and his father, Habib, with police efforts focused on their arrest, informed Inspector Rakesh Kumar.
