In a disturbing incident at Banaras Hindu University, Himanshu Yadav, the president of Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha's BHU unit, was arrested Thursday. He faces allegations of attacking student Prashant Mishra after inquiring about his caste.
The confrontation reportedly occurred during class hours on Wednesday, prompting police to take swift action. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Bhelupur) Gaurav Kumar confirmed Yadav's arrest while further investigations proceed.
