In a strategic move to bolster maritime security, the Indian Coast Guard has redeployed its offshore patrol vessel, ICGS Shaurya, from Chennai to Porbandar, effective April 1.

This transition aims to enhance vigilance along the Gujarat coast, improve response capabilities, and ensure the safety of national maritime interests, as stated by officials on Thursday.

ICGS Shaurya boasts state-of-the-art navigation and surveillance systems and is armed for multi-mission operations, including maritime surveillance and environmental protection.
