The Indian Coast Guard executed a successful rescue mission, saving a fisherman missing for nearly 36 hours off Kerala's coast, officials reported on Wednesday.
Ranjumoni Sonowal, a crew member from a Tamil Nadu-registered fishing vessel, was reported missing on March 30. Authorities located him 27 km off the Kochi coast, adrift and in dire need of help.
The swift operation, involving the patrol ship ICGS Arnvesh and aerial support, highlights the Coast Guard's commitment to maritime safety. Sonowal, suffering from dehydration and hypothermia, received immediate medical attention before being transferred to a hospital.
