Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth: A New Era for Indian Army Leadership

Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth has officially assumed the role of Vice Chief of the Army Staff in the Indian Army, succeeding Lt Gen. Pushpendra Singh. His appointment was marked by a ceremony at the South Block lawns, following his term as the leader of the Southern Command.

Lt Gen. Seth, renowned for steering the Southern Command during the significant Operation Sindoor, aims to enhance the Army’s operational capabilities through technological integration and strategic planning. His tenure included overseeing multi-domain operations and witnessing the joint tri-services exercise 'Trishul' off Gujarat's coast.

With a career marked by diverse roles, including international missions and leadership of several commands, Lt Gen. Seth’s experience and vision are expected to contribute significantly to the modernization and future readiness of the Indian Army.
