The blocked platforms include online sports betting sites, casinos offering games like slots and roulette, and betting exchanges that operate akin to peer-to-peer marketplaces. Additionally, famous networks such as satta/matka and real-money card gaming apps were also targeted in this comprehensive crackdown.
To date, approximately 8,400 gambling websites have been blocked, with a significant number blocked following the enactment of the Online Gaming Act. This initiative reflects the government's continued effort to combat illegal online gambling activities on a large scale.
