Fake Audio Sparks Concern Over Kerala Election Training

The Kerala Chief Electoral Officer, Rathan U Kelkar, has lodged a complaint with the cyber police after a fake audio message spread false information regarding election official training.

The message misleadingly suggests that no in-person training is being conducted due to governmental cost constraints. Kelkar clarified that a mix of online and offline training sessions is ongoing, with officials required to complete these before taking on election duties.

In labeling the dissemination of such misinformation as an 'offence', Kelkar stated that legal action is being sought against those responsible, reaffirming the commitment to properly preparing election personnel.
