Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, China announced its decision to extend emergency humanitarian assistance to several affected countries, including Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq. This announcement comes as these nations grapple with severe humanitarian crises due to ongoing conflicts.
Speaking at a recent media briefing, Lin Jian, the spokesperson for China's foreign ministry, highlighted the catastrophic impact of these conflicts, which have resulted in mass displacements and numerous casualties. Lin expressed China's deep sympathy for those affected and reiterated Beijing's commitment to easing the humanitarian burden.
In addition to humanitarian aid, China emphasized the importance of halting military operations and seeking ceasefire agreements to restore regional stability. Recently, China pledged USD 200,000 for the victims of an attack on an Iranian school, underscoring its role as a significant ally in the region.
