Explosions were reported at a post office in the city center, the bustling Monday market, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, and the Kaleri neighborhood. Security personnel attribute these attacks to suspected suicide bombers.
The state police confirmed that calm has been restored and security has been beefed up in the city to avert further incidents. An investigation is currently underway to uncover details behind these harrowing events.
