An unidentified individual caused significant damage to a Zilla Parishad school in Ashti tehsil, Maharashtra, by destroying eight CCTV cameras, an official reported on Thursday.

The assailant, who wore a mask, also broke locks on four classrooms, according to the headmaster of Kada Zilla Parishad Central Primary School, Uddhav Sonawane. The vandalism occurred late Tuesday night.

The school management immediately contacted Ashti police, who noted that a similar incident had happened two years earlier. Investigation is ongoing to capture the perpetrator.
