The Odisha Vigilance Department has apprehended a tehsildar from the Kantapara region for alleged corruption. The official is accused of owning assets disproportionate to his income.
During an investigative raid on Wednesday, authorities discovered multiple high-value properties linked to the tehsildar, including two multi-storeyed buildings and seven plots in Bhubaneswar.
A case has been lodged under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and the tehsildar is set to appear in front of the Special Judge, Vigilance. Further probes are ongoing.
