Farming is changing from manual, experience-led observation to data-driven decision-making powered by advanced sensing systems and artificial intelligence.

Sensors and AI are becoming the new core infrastructure of farming
According to the study, sensors supply the visual and environmental data that make precision farming possible, but the paper stresses that sensors alone are not the breakthrough. The real shift comes from pairing those sensing systems with machine learning and deep learning models that can classify patterns, isolate problems and turn raw data into decisions.
