Actor Vijay to Face CBI in Karur Stampede Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued a summons to actor and TVK chief Vijay, requiring his presence for questioning on March 15 in the Karur stampede case, officials announced Tuesday.
The incident, which occurred during Vijay's rally in Tamil Nadu's Karur, claimed 41 lives and injured over 60 people, prompting nationwide concern and a subsequent Supreme Court mandate for the CBI to probe into the matter.
DMK MLA and former state minister Senthil Balaji is also set to appear before the agency on March 17, as part of the ongoing investigation aimed at restoring public trust in an impartial legal process.
