Tragedy in Surat: Suspected Asphyxiation Claims Three Lives in Dyeing Mill

In a tragic incident, three workers at a dyeing mill in Gujarat's Surat city have died from suspected asphyxiation during a cleaning operation at an effluent treatment plant (ETP). The incident occurred on Thursday night at Paras Print Private Limited in the Pandesara industrial area.
According to local police, Sonu Paswan (23), Dilip Paswan (19), and Sandeep Paswan (23), all natives of Bihar, lost consciousness immediately upon entering the ETP tank. They were subsequently declared dead by doctors at a private hospital. Another worker, Mahendra Paswan, remains in critical condition under medical care.
Authorities from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board and forensic officials have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of death. Initial reports suggest that poor safety measures could have contributed to the tragedy.
