Tamil Nadu's Ganja Crackdown: A Continuing Battle

State Minister T M Anbarasan has charged the previous AIADMK government with failing to curb the flow of ganja into Tamil Nadu, an issue that he claims has been pervasive. He emphasized that stringent measures are now being implemented to tackle this ongoing problem.

During a recent meeting, Anbarasan noted that thousands of individuals from northern states arrive in Chennai daily, with some bringing small amounts of ganja. Criticizing the past administration, he declared that the state government is focusing on controlling the sale of this contraband.

Anbarasan also pointed out that Tamil Nadu stands alone in banning ganja among Indian states. His remarks coincide with continuous criticism from Leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami concerning the ruling DMK's handling of law and order and drug sales.
