Rajib Laskar and Junaid Miya, the victims of this audacious scam, had entered India on valid visas with plans to proceed to Turkey. However, their aspirations turned into a nightmare when they were allegedly trapped by intermediaries exploiting their visa ambitions.
Authorities have detained Humayun Kabir and Achintya Kumar Pal, charging them with wrongful confinement and extortion. The local police continue to probe the layers of this case, looking into the passports used by the victims and dissecting the motives behind this illicit operation.
