The Election Commission of India is set to host a pivotal National SEC Conference aimed at fostering better collaboration between the national body and state election commissions. This significant gathering, coming after a 27-year hiatus, will take place on February 24.

State election commissioners and their teams, including legal and technical experts, will convene to discuss strategies for more effective election processes. The Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi will preside over the conference.

Chief electoral officers from all 36 states and Union territories are expected to attend this landmark event. Many state election commissioners had previously called for such a conference to strengthen synergies and improve electoral functioning.
