Shock in Meerut: Child Apprehended for Heinous Crime
A 12-year-old boy has been apprehended for allegedly raping a 5-year-old girl in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The girl, found critically injured at a construction site, is undergoing treatment. The police identified the boy through CCTV footage, and further investigations are ongoing.

A shocking incident has gripped the community in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on allegations of raping a 5-year-old girl, officials disclosed on Friday.
The tragic ordeal unfolded when the young girl, who had been playing outside her home Wednesday evening, was reportedly kidnapped by the boy. According to Vinod Kumar, Station Officer of Katghar Police Station, the accused took the girl to a nearby construction site, where the crime was committed. He then fled, abandoning the girl in a critical condition.
Her cries alerted neighbors who quickly rushed her to a hospital. Due to her severe injuries, she was transferred to a specialist medical facility in Meerut. CCTV footage enabled police to identify and apprehend the young suspect on Friday. Investigations to gather further information are currently underway, Kumar added.
