In a move to address ongoing legal challenges, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he has directed his legal team to request clarification on court rulings. These rulings currently prevent the Trump administration from halting food aid amid the government shutdown.

Trump, communicating via Truth Social, emphasized his readiness to support the funding should the courts provide the necessary legal direction. "If we are given the appropriate legal direction by the Court, it will BE MY HONOR to provide the funding, just like I did with Military and Law Enforcement Pay," he stated.

The statement comes in the wake of continued scrutiny over the administration's policies during the shutdown, with the President pointing to past actions supporting military and law enforcement personnel as examples of his commitment to funding essential services.
