Kim Kardashian's Moon Landing Comments Stir Debate
Kim Kardashian's recent comments on 'The Kardashians' questioning the 1969 moon landing reignite an old conspiracy theory. NASA's acting administrator, Sean Duffy, swiftly refutes her claim, affirming the U.S. lunar missions. The controversy stems from Kardashian's misinterpretation of Buzz Aldrin's remarks during a past interview.
Kim Kardashian's comments on the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing during an episode of 'The Kardashians' have reignited a familiar conspiracy theory. The reality TV star cast doubt on the historic event, citing an online video of astronaut Buzz Aldrin as her source.
NASA's acting administrator, Sean Duffy, was quick to dismiss Kardashian's claims. He emphatically stated on social media that the United States had indeed landed on the moon six times and revealed future plans for another lunar mission under the Artemis II project.
The controversy arose from Kardashian's interpretation of Aldrin's comments during a 2015 appearance at the Oxford Union. Aldrin's remarks, taken out of context, were meant to highlight the absence of frightening moments during the mission rather than deny its occurrence.
