A notorious criminal wanted in over 15 cases, including attempted murder, was apprehended following a shootout with law enforcement on Tuesday evening near Pratapgarh village. The dramatic arrest occurred after police received a tip-off about a suspect traveling on a motorcycle without visible identification on Highway-44.
Upon confronting the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Sukhvinder Singh alias Sukha, a gunfire exchange ensued, resulting in Singh sustaining a leg injury. The confrontation briefly disrupted traffic on the Delhi-Chandigarh National Highway and sparked a forensic investigation in the area.
Inspector Surinder Singh from the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA-1) confirmed the arrest, citing Singh's extensive criminal background. Following medical treatment, further investigations are expected as police continue to delve into Singh's alleged criminal activities.
