Lukewarm Response to Jharkhand Bandh: Normalcy Prevails

The 12-hour bandh called by Jharkhand BJP in West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan saw little impact. Schools and businesses operated normally, and traffic was unaffected. The bandh was organized to protest against alleged police action on tribals. Despite some rallies, normalcy prevailed across the region.

The Jharkhand BJP's 12-hour bandh in West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts on Wednesday witnessed a tepid response as schools, offices, and businesses functioned regularly, officials reported.

While BJP supporters attempted to hold rallies enforcing the bandh, police interventions ensured routine activities remained undisturbed, West Singhbhum SP Amit Renu relayed to PTI.

The bandh aimed to protest alleged baton charges on tribals in Chaibasa earlier this week, but with no reports of violence or preventive arrests, the region continued to operate with minimal disruption.
