The Maharashtra legislative council is taking decisive action against fraudulent job application platforms. On Tuesday, Council Chairman Ram Shinde instructed officials to initiate stringent measures against these fake apps that deceitfully target unemployed youth. The issue, highlighted by MLC Niranjan Davkhare during a state legislature session, prompted an urgent meeting at Vidhan Bhavan.
Fraudsters are reportedly creating applications that mimic the branding of the National Skill Development Corporation. These apps falsely assure government-supported employment opportunities, enticing young job seekers to pay for non-existent positions, according to a release from Davkhare's office.
The deceptive practices have sparked concern as they exploit the vulnerabilities of job-seeking youths, prompting legislative leaders to explore potential solutions to curb this growing problem.
