Corruption Charge Sheet Filed Against Haryana Congress Chief

The much-anticipated charge sheet against Haryana Congress President, Rao Narendra Singh, was filed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Gurugram, marking a significant move in the long-standing corruption case.

Filed in the Narnaul court, the charge sheet accuses Singh under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, with the next hearing set for November 10. Singh allegedly requested a bribe of Rs 30 to Rs 50 crore for land use conversion in 2013, leading to a sting operation by Dharmendra Kuhad, who recorded incriminating audio and video.

The case has been reignited amid political turbulence, with Singh accusing the BJP of using tactics of intimidation, reflecting a brewing rivalry between political parties. The Congress appointed Singh as Haryana's unit head, while Singh maintains faith in judicial processes against what he claims is a politically motivated act by rivals.
