In a chilling case that gripped the UK, Colombian national Yostin Andres Mosquera was sentenced to 42 years in prison on Friday. Mosquera, 35, was found guilty of murdering two men, Albert Alfonso, 62, and Paul Longworth, 71, in July 2024.
Prosecutors revealed Mosquera's shocking methods, stating that he bludgeoned Longworth with a hammer and stabbed Alfonso after the pair had intercourse. He then proceeded to decapitate and dismember the victims, placing body parts into suitcases, which he later abandoned on the Clifton Suspension Bridge in southwest England.
Additionally, Mosquera admitted to possessing indecent images of children, a revelation that further incriminated him. Judge Joel Bennathan described these acts as "thoroughly wicked crimes" before sentencing Mosquera to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 42 years.
