A female doctor from a government hospital in Maharashtra's Satara district allegedly took her life, leaving behind a suicide note with serious accusations of rape and mental harassment by two police officials. The chilling incident has sparked outrage and called immediate police attention.
The doctor was discovered hanging in a Phaltan hotel room late Thursday night. Authorities began investigations after uncovering claims written on her palm accusing Sub-Inspector Gopal Badane of rape and another officer, Prashant Bankar, of mental harassment over five months.
The case has led to a swift response. Maharashtra Women's Commission chief, Rupali Chakankar, emphasized that the Satara police have been directed to take stringent action against the alleged perpetrators. Active measures are under way to apprehend the accused as the investigation continues.
