A young doctor's alleged suicide in Phaltan has sparked a significant investigation involving Maharashtra officials. The deceased, a 28-year-old from Beed district, was discovered in a hotel room, with a suicide note on her palm levelling serious accusations against two men.
Rupali Chakankar, chairperson of the Maharashtra Women's Commission, detailed that the doctor had visited accused Prashant Bankar on Diwali, and the two had an altercation. Bankar, along with PSI Gopal Badane, has been arrested for abetment of suicide.
The case has garnered significant attention due to the involvement of a police officer and the distressing details from the deceased's communications and suicide note.
