In a sweeping administrative overhaul, Senior IPS officer Sachin Mittal has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Jaipur. This move is part of a significant reshuffle involving 34 IPS officers across Rajasthan.
Sachin Mittal, a 1996-batch officer, steps into the role following the tenure of Biju George Joseph, who assumed the position in August 2023. This appointment comes amid a broader strategy to revamp leadership within the state's police force.
The reshuffle sees Sanjay Agarwal transition from DG (Intelligence) to DG (Law and Order), with notable appointments also include Vishal Bansal as ADG (SOG) and Govind Gupta as DG (Anti-Corruption Bureau), among others, marking a new phase for law enforcement in Rajasthan.
