In a disturbing incident in Rajasthan's Baran district, a 63-year-old farmer was allegedly beaten to death after being robbed of his gold earrings. The victim's body was discovered in a cornfield in Kotra Bhagwan village, igniting a community protest demanding the arrest of the culprits.
Ramkishan Lodha, a resident of the village, left home to graze cattle on Thursday morning when unidentified individuals attacked him. According to the Sarthal police station SHO, Giriraj Gurjar, Lodha was robbed and killed on the spot. The police have registered a murder case based on family reports.
Although initial reports suggested a protest, the local SHO has denied any such demonstration occurred, noting that the victim's body was released to the family after a Friday post-mortem. The investigation continues into what police describe as a 'blind murder' without clear suspects or witnesses.
