Two individuals from Balochistan have been reportedly forcibly disappeared in Karachi, raising alarms about the ongoing issue of enforced disappearances affecting Baloch citizens in Pakistan. Family members claim that Asim, the son of Asghar from Panwan in Jiwani, was detained by Pakistan Rangers on the night of March 16 in Shah Ali Sharafi Goth, according to The Balochistan Post.

Asim, a trader, was allegedly taken from the area without any subsequent information provided to his family regarding his situation or whereabouts. In a separate case, Shabbir Baloch, son of Haji Qadir Bakhsh from Khuzdar district, has been missing since November 13 last year after reportedly being detained from a nursing hostel in Karachi. His family states that he has not been presented before a court or charged with any crime.

These incidents fuel fear within Baloch communities in Balochistan and Karachi. Human rights organizations have long criticized the pattern of enforced disappearances, calling for accountability. Authorities in Pakistan have not yet issued a statement on these cases, leaving families and activists demanding urgent answers and action, as reported by The Balochistan Post.
