Nepal concluded the four-day Chhath festival on Tuesday with traditional offerings, known as Argha, to the rising sun, symbolizing the festival's end. The festivities initiated last Saturday and reached a peak during the main pooja on the final evening.

Thousands of Hindu devotees assembled at Ghadiarwa Pokhari in Birgunj city, Parsa district, submerging themselves in the sacred waters. 'I offered Argha to the rising sun, Chhati Maiya, for the well-being of family and society,' remarked Seema Devi, visiting from Patna, Bihar.

Celebrations spanned regions like Mahottari and Mithila, with rituals reflecting the festival's values of truth, non-violence, and compassion. Worshipping the sun is seen as a pathway to prosperity, uniting people from all walks of life in devotion.
