A new emergency block at Ilam Hospital in Nepal's Koshi province is being constructed with financial assistance from India. The foundation stone was laid on Friday, marking a significant step toward improved healthcare infrastructure in the region.
The project is valued at Nepali Rs 94 million and is set to enhance access to quality healthcare services for residents in Ilam municipality. The endeavor is part of the High Impact Community Development Project, funded through India's grant.
The ceremony was attended by Ilam municipality Mayor Kedar Thapa and Counsellor Gitanjali Brandon from the Indian Embassy, highlighting the collaborative efforts between India and Nepal in healthcare initiatives.
