Delhi's Medical Education Boom: 108 New Seats for Advanced Training

The Delhi government has laid out a comprehensive proposal to introduce a total of 108 additional postgraduate, DNB, and fellowship seats in medical institutions across the city, according to official sources.
This initiative, led by Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh, aims to bolster the national capital's healthcare delivery and medical education sectors. Singh highlighted that the increase in seats for MD/MS and DNB courses will forge a proficiently trained pool of doctors, consequently enhancing patient care and health outcomes for Delhi residents.
The allocation of these seats spans 10 government medical and teaching facilities, marking a significant advancement in the city's ability to provide advanced medical training. This move seeks to address the rising healthcare demands of the city, with key expansions at facilities like Maulana Azad Medical College and Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College.
