In a concerning incident in Gauna, Nadaun subdivision, insects were found crawling inside a packet of chips purchased by a local family. The unsettling discovery has sparked an investigation by authorities into potential food safety violations.
The chips, which were within their stated expiry date, were supplied only two days prior by the company. Despite no formal complaint filed yet, the family expressed relief at noticing the insects before their young child consumed the product.
Local officials, including Nadaun Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nishant Sharma, have promised a thorough probe into the matter. District Food Safety Officer Abhishek stated that an official sample would be collected once a complaint is lodged, aiming to hold the company accountable for any negligence.
