Held at the Constitution Club of India, it featured over 60 experts from government, academia, and industry to discuss the evolving landscape of healthcare in India.
Participants zeroed in on pressing issues such as workforce capacity, regulatory implementation, and the rise of digital technologies in healthcare. Dr. Indu Bhushan, former CEO of the National Health Authority, underscored the vital role of allied health professionals in healthcare delivery, emphasizing the need for enhanced training infrastructure and regulatory frameworks.
The discussion comes at a crucial time, as healthcare transformation is a key focus of the Union Budget, which allocated ₹1,000 crore for workforce training. The event is a precursor to a comprehensive report by Virohan, slated for June 2026, which aims to further chart the course for strengthening India's healthcare system.
