Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd, an operator of a healthcare chain under Narayana Health, is set to expand its international footprint by acquiring UK-based Practice Plus Group Hospitals for GBP 188.78 million, the company announced in a regulatory filing.
The acquisition will be executed through a complete equity purchase, with Narayana Hrudayalaya UK Ltd, a subsidiary of Health City Cayman Islands Ltd, buying 100% of Practice Plus Group's shares. This acquisition involves seven hospitals, three surgical centers, and several specialized units, enhancing Narayana's healthcare capabilities in the UK.
Devi Prasad Shetty, Founder and Chairman of Narayana Health, emphasized the alignment between both companies in providing accessible healthcare. The strategic move positions Narayana Health among the top three Indian healthcare providers, with plans to integrate Practice Plus Group into its robust technology framework.
