Controversial Video Sparks FIR Amidst Kedarnath Devotion

Uttarakhand Police have taken decisive action by filing an FIR at Sonprayag Police Station against a user of the Instagram account 'thecurlypoet' for allegedly spreading unfounded allegations about the arrangements at Kedarnath Dham. The FIR follows the monitoring of a video claim suggesting mistreatment of an elderly pilgrim and preferential treatment of VIPs over general devotees.

Officials clarified the situation, reporting that a pilgrim from Gujarat fell ill and was swiftly taken to the Primary Health Centre in Kedarnath, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead. The administration arranged for the deceased's transportation to Guptkashi by helicopter, following standard procedures. Authorities assert that the video distorted facts, misleading the public and harming the administration's reputation. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stressed the importance of addressing any rumors or misinformation regarding the Yatra with stringent actions.

Police confirmed ongoing monitoring of suspicious activities online, warning that any attempts to undermine the integrity of the Char Dham Yatra or tarnish Uttarakhand's image will be met with zero tolerance. In a parallel development, Kedarnath Dham has reopened its sacred doors to devotees amidst traditional Vedic chants and rituals. Pilgrims worldwide have flocked to the shrine, invigorating the atmosphere with spiritual fervor and devotion. As temples opened, chants of 'Lord Shiva' and 'Baba Kedar' filled the air, marking a vibrant start to the pilgrimage season. Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Chairman Hemant Dwivedi called upon devotees to visit and receive blessings.
