The ongoing Baramati Assembly by-election has been described as a crucial referendum on the late Ajit Pawar's illustrious political legacy, according to Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC. Speaking to ANI, she noted that Sunetra Pawar's candidacy embodies decades of dedicated service by the Pawar family in their home constituency.

Sunetra Pawar, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, cast her vote at Katewadi's polling booth. She expressed that Baramati's electorate is participating in this election as a tribute to Ajit Pawar's enduring legacy. Her son, Member of Parliament Parth Ajit Pawar, joined her in this democratic exercise.

Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has voiced strong support for Mahayuti candidate Sunetra Pawar, during his speech at a rally ahead of the April 23 bypoll. He expressed confidence in her ability to uphold Ajit Pawar's legacy amidst lingering doubts about his tragic demise.

Fadnavis has called for a high voter turnout, urging citizens to see the by-election as a chance to pay their respects to the deceased leader. The outcome depends on the voters’ decisiveness as Baramati elects its representative in this pivotal contest.
