EU's Costa told Jordan's King Abdullah that Hormuz Strait must be re-opened

European Council President Antonio Costa ​told Jordan's King Abdullah ​that the Strait ‌of Hormuz ​must be reopened, during a phone call between the two, said Costa ‌on Monday. * Costa wrote on X that he had held the call with King Abdullah on Monday.

* "In our call today, I ‌reiterated that the EU stands by its partners in these ‌challenging times and supports all ongoing diplomatic efforts," said Costa on X. * "The full and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz remains a ⁠priority. ​We remain ⁠gravely concerned by the situation in Lebanon," he added.
