China's premier calls for improving energy system's resilience, security

China's Premier Li Qiang on Monday called for strengthening the energy system's resilience and its capacity for ensuring energy security, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
Li said the key to gaining the initiative in energy security lies in further optimising and adjusting the energy structure and strengthening energy technology innovation, according to CCTV.
He also called for tapping the potential of renewable energy supply and improving the clean and efficient use of fossil fuels.
