Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has strongly criticized the Congress and Communist parties in Kerala for allegedly spreading false information about the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026. Rijiju emphasized the government's commitment to transparency and informed that talks had been held with Christian missionaries to address their concerns.

Addressing media outlet ANI, Rijiju stated that dialogues with Christian leaders were crucial for dispelling misconceptions. He insisted that the government's actions are not against any religion or caste and warned that any continued misinformation would be publicly challenged to reveal the truth.

The minister accused Congress of treating the Muslim community merely as a vote bank while affirming that only illegal foreign contribution accounts will face action under the new bill. Rijiju stressed the increased attention minorities are receiving under Prime Minister Modi's leadership and warned against using communities for electoral gains.
