The Disciplinary Action Committee of Haryana Congress is investigating the allegations of cross-voting by five party MLAs during the Rajya Sabha elections. Reports surfaced about these MLAs supporting a BJP-backed Independent candidate, leading to internal party turmoil.
During the meeting, chaired by Dharampal Malik, the accused legislators were issued show-cause notices for anti-party activities. The party's performance was compromised, particularly when votes were inexplicably deemed invalid.
Only three MLAs have responded to the notice, requesting personal hearings. Final decisions from the DAC will be communicated to the Congress high command, with potential consequences awaiting the involved legislators.
