The Turkish Trade Ministry has announced the removal of customs duties on urea-type goods in an effort to protect the agricultural sector from rising costs exacerbated by the conflict in Iran.
The decision also extends to select nitrogen and compound fertilisers, aimed at preventing speculative price fluctuations amid supply disruptions.
A decree published in the Official Gazette detailed the removal of duties on ammonium-based fertilisers, acknowledging the inflation in essential goods prices due to ongoing geopolitical tensions.
