The Secretary outlined initiatives taken by the central government to ease fuel distribution and praised states for their collaboration in addressing these challenges.
The focus was placed on the need for active management of LPG distribution to ensure consistent supply for both domestic use and essential sectors. Officials were urged to remain vigilant against hoarding and misinformation, which could cause public panic. States like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh received praise for their decisive measures to counter compliance violations.
Additional emphasis was placed on counteracting false reports concerning LPG supplies, specifically regarding migrant workers, with clarifications offered that supply issues were nonexistent. The strategic planning for distributing 5 kg FTL LPG cylinders, tailored to specific local demands, was discussed as a joint effort with Oil Marketing Companies. Furthermore, adaptive fuel usage for dual LPG and petrol-autos was encouraged to meet current fuel demands effectively.
