The United Democratic Front (UDF) on Thursday unveiled a groundbreaking 'pink' election manifesto prioritizing women's empowerment and welfare in Keralam. Congress Member of Parliament Jebi Mather emphasized the dedication of the manifesto to women's protection and advancement, highlighting the range of benefits tailored for women in the state.
The manifesto promises significant initiatives such as free bus rides for women and a Rs 1,000 monthly stipend for female college students. It also outlines plans to combat cybercrimes targeting women, and the establishment of women-centric hospitals and 'pink gyms'. Additionally, the UDF plans to introduce a support package for domestic workers.
Elections for the Keralam Legislative Assembly are set for April 9, with results to be counted on May 4. Underlining their commitment to welfare and development, the UDF promises a Rs 25 lakh insurance scheme for families and a monthly Rs 6,000 grant to impoverished families as part of the broader Nyuntam Aay Yojana (NYAY) Scheme, among other significant pledges.
