In a concerted effort to underscore the critical importance of blood donation, Rashtrapati Bhavan organized a blood donation camp on Thursday in partnership with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
Col (Dr) Kiran Kumar, Physician to the President, expressed satisfaction during an interview with ANI, as this marks the fourth such collaboration with the AIIMS blood centre. Dr. Kumar emphasized the unique nature of blood as a life-saving resource that cannot be manufactured or bought, making voluntary donations indispensable.
Held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre for the second time, the event aims to surpass the previous attendance record of 250 participants, set in 2025. Dr. Kumar highlighted the predominantly female participation as a source of inspiration and expressed optimism to break the previous records in future camps.
