Uttarakhand's Operation Prahaar: A Zero Tolerance Crackdown on Crime

In a determined move against rising crime rates, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched Operation Prahaar, a strategic initiative designed to preserve the sanctity of Devbhoomi. Dhami emphasized the state's commitment to eradicating crime, assuring citizens that recent crime incidents will not be repeated thanks to increased oversight and proactive measures.

Addressing the efforts, Dhami cited the police department's active role in the operation, arresting numerous criminals and gangsters involved in organized crime. With student safety at the forefront, authorities are intensifying hostel inspections across Dehradun, a popular educational hub, to ensure preventive security measures are in place.

Demonstrating a firm stance, CM Dhami reiterated the zero tolerance policy by scrutinizing historical criminal records, enhancing night patrols, and instituting strict law enforcement. Following the tragic shooting of retired Brigadier Mukesh Joshi, the initiative underscores the government's determination to protect its citizens by directing stringent actions against disruptive elements throughout Uttarakhand.
