Himachal Students Meet CM: Insights and Reforms

A delegation of students from the Journalism and Mass Communication Department of Himachal Pradesh University met with Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today, according to an official release. During the meeting, the Chief Minister discussed various reforms aimed at enhancing the quality of education in government institutions.
Drawing from his personal journey, Chief Minister Sukhu shared anecdotes about his university days and early political career. He highlighted his beginnings in public life at 17, advancing through roles such as State President of NSUI, and later as a councillor in Shimla. His story underscored that anyone, regardless of their background, can rise to the position of Chief Minister.
In a separate development, CM Sukhu announced considerations to revert to a previous system of collecting entry fees separately, amidst current concerns over integrated fees with FASTag. He assured that no fee category has increased and attributed the confusion to misinformation. A decision on the fee structure is expected soon.
