Miranda House Food Protest: Students Demand Better Meals
Students at Miranda House College protested the alleged worsening quality of food, claiming subsistence on dry bread and substandard meals. The All India Students' Association supported their call for improved nutrition, while the college administration denied links to the LPG crisis and insisted meals matched student preferences despite spice complaints.

Miranda House College became the center of student unrest on Wednesday as attendees took to protesting the allegedly declining quality of meals provided by the institution. Banging plates in protest, students circulated videos on social media, highlighting their grievances over being forced to subsist on what they described as 'substandard meals.'
The All India Students' Association (AISA) backed the students, asserting their right to nutritious food and expressing solidarity with their cause. The students' frustrations reportedly stem from issues purportedly linked to the ongoing LPG crisis.
However, college officials refuted this claim, stating that the demonstration arose over complaints of meals being excessively spicy, rather than a deep-seated crisis. They assured that meals are prepared daily in alignment with student preferences.
